Season 6 of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow has already dropped a couple of whammies in its first episode ‘Ground Control to Sara Lance’, and now, new photos released by The CW for the Arrowverse show’s Episode 4 ‘Bay of Squids’ reveal another twist coming up. After Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) was kidnapped by aliens, one of whom is Gary Green (Adam Tsekhman), the team has been a bit lost. Ava (Jes Macallan) is in a pretty emotional place and so it looks like one unlikely crew member is going to take charge.
That’s right. Serial criminal, arsonist, and all-around tough-guy Mick Rory / Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell) is going to assume command in Legends of Tomorrow’s ‘Bay of Squids’. And the synopsis reveals that he’s going to have… mixed results.
Pros: Rory does find the location of an alien who could lead them to Sara. Cons: he ends up getting the crew mixed up with the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Meanwhile, historical figures President John F. Kennedy and Fidel Castro, who was Prime Minister of Cuba at the time, are going to be popping in. And it looks like Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) will be doing some bonding with Castro. One of the photos also shows him looking a lot like Che Guevara.
It sounds like this is going to be a wild one, even for Legends of Tomorrow. Here’s the synopsis for the episode:
“FOLLOWING ORDERS – The Legends are shocked when Rory (Dominic Purcell) takes command and manages to find the location of an important Alien, but he also lands them in the middle of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Ava (Jes Macallan) is eager to question the Alien, but they must steal it back from the Cubans and Russians who think it is bio-warfare sent by the Americans. The team makes the decision to split up, leaving Nate (Nick Zano) and Zari (Tala Ashe) to work together to stop a nuclear disaster alongside JFK while Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) tries to leverage his newfound friendship to stop Castro from starting a war. Meanwhile, with Spooner’s (Lisseth Chavez) help, Rory makes an unlikely deal that could lead him on a solo mission to find Sara (Caity Lotz). Adam Tsekhman, Olivia Swann, and Matt Ryan also star. Sudz Sutherland directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer.”
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow airs Sunday nights on The CW at 8 p.m. ET/PT. ‘Bay of Squids’ is set to release on May 23. Are you interested to see Rory take command in Legends of Tomorrow? Let us know
