Currently, The CW have been killing it with the comic book properties: The Flash, Arrow, and iZombie have all found their feet on the network and achieved a bit more acclaim than shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Gotham. The superhero kick on the small screen isn’t ending anytime soon as CBS just debuted a (terrible) trailer for Supergirl and most recently, The CW released a first look at Legends of Tomorrow.

The trailer makes the show look like a lot of fun. It starts out with flashbacks from The Flash and Arrow and then gets right down to introducing us to the team. The roster contains Hawkgirl, White Canary, Captain Cold, Heatwave, The Atom, and Firestorm. That’s a lot of heroes. To ensure they get the job done is Rip Hunter, played by Arthur Darvill, who’s “from East London, oh, and the future.”

The tone for the trailer looks less dark and brooding and more like a fun ride. DC could learn a thing or two from it’s TV properties. The trailer also features plenty of action, and the VFX, while not movie quality, are certainly decent and a step ahead of a show like Powers. The flying, usually one of the goofiest visual effects, doesn’t look half bad either.

Did I mention there will be time travel? Yes, there will be time travel. Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait till midseason 2016 to watch Legends of Tomorrow. In the meantime you will find me outside NBC Universal waving a picket sign that reads, “Save Constantine!”

Are you excited for Legends of Tomorrow? Let us know in the comments below.
