What if Marty McFly met Batman? What if the tower of Sauron appeared in the middle of a modern city? What if Batman fell into the world of Wizard of Oz? If you want to experience the answers to these questions, then you’re in luck. Telltale Games and Warner Bros. announced a new Lego game, titled Dimensions.

Okay. This looks awesome . . . as in I want it right now.
Okay. This looks awesome . . . as in I want it right now.

Hot on the heels of the Skylanders and Disney Infinity craze, Lego is now equipping their game with a magical portal that allows you to transport figures and vehicles into the game itself. Lego Dimensions is scheduled to come out September 27 of this year.

From everything that’s been announced so far, it looks like additional game pieces, including the portal itself, will need to be constructed in order to utilize them. Game packs announced so far come in a variety of types, from a Ninjago team pack, to a Lego Movie spaceman character pack, to a Back to the Future level pack.

Lego Dimensions will feature levels and characters from the aforementioned Ninjago, Back to the Future, and Lego Movie, as well as DC Comics, Lord of the Rings, and Wizard of Oz. The Nerd Stash will keep you up to date on this recently announced title. Until then, enjoy this announcement trailer.
