Knotroot Rods are a useful resource that you can use to craft various structures or sturdy tools and weapons. Like other similar consumables, this resource can be crafted on a crafting bench with the necessary materials. And now, let’s take a look at how to get Knotroot Rods in Lego Fortnite. Your main goal will be to get knotroot wood, which is used to craft rods, but it is quite difficult to find them if you don’t know where to look.

To get Knotroot Rods, you need to use a Lumber Mill and have a resource called knotroot wood. A Lumber Mill is quite easy to create so long as you have the following resources:

  • Wood x8
  • Granite x15

If you have them available, just choose where to place the structure to use it. Next, interact with the Lumber Mill to see the available crafts. If you have knotroot wood, you can place it in the Lumber Mill to turn it into knotroot rod, at a 1-to-1 ratio.

If you do not have knotroot wood, you should search for it. This resource cannot be found on the surface, and this is quite logical because you are looking for the root, which is going to be underground. So, your main goal will be to get into a cave. It’s not challenging to find one; just open the world map and move to the cave icon, which looks like a mountain with a door. Before you go into the cave, it is recommended to take a torch with you because, without it, you will see almost nothing.

Once inside the cave, everything becomes much easier because it is practically a knotroot deposit all around you. Pay attention to the floor, walls, and ceiling, where you can see curled wooden roots to mine. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple because you can’t chop down knotroot with an ordinary wooden axe, so you’ll have to craft the Uncommon Forest Axe. For this craft, you will need the following resources:

  • Bones x3
  • Wooden rods x3

While wooden rods are easy to handle, bones are much more difficult, as you’ll need to kill several skeletons to do so. Stock up on weapons to kill them quickly, and also on food to restore your health if you take damage. Once you have all the resources, the last thing you need to do is upgrade your Crafting Bench to access the Uncommon Forest Axe crafting. For this, you will need the following resources:

  • Planks x8
  • Shells x8

Again, you will need to get a relatively rare resource: shells. This item drops from Roller, which looks like a stone with a sprout on its head. To counter this type of enemy, it is recommended to use Knight Shield to block rolling attacks by throwing the Rollers back.

Once all of these steps are completed, you can finally craft an Uncommon Forest Axe to chop down the knotroot wood and turn it into knotroot rods in Lego Fortnite.
