Lego has had a long history of letting people recreate iconic sets from movies, and this trend continues in a big way. Batman fans can recreate the Batcave from Batman Returns with this latest Lego set that has been unveiled today. With the various character pieces, you can have Michael Keaton’s Caped Crusader, Danny DeVito’s Penguin, Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman, and more.
The beloved 1992 film was the second film to star Keaton as the DC superhero. Alongside the first film, it is a classic that, depending on who you ask, will say it is their favorite movie adaptation of the character. The film’s success went off to grossing $266 million worldwide and earning two Oscar nominations. It was nominated for its visual effects and makeup.
Lego Reveals Batman Returns Batcave Set
While similar Lego builds have been crafted, the Batcave set goes to a new level with its detail. The size is hefty, with 3,981 pieces to give you plenty of time to get familiar with it. The measurements are 11 inches (29 cm) high, 20 inches (51 cm.) wide, and 5.5 inches (14 cm) deep.
The pieces will include seven characters and the Batmobile. Of the characters, there will be two versions of Batman, Max Shreck and Bruce Wayne. The Batmobile has various interactable pieces, like fire from the exhaust, guns, and an openable roof. You will have the ability to customize it to some degree, like moving furniture, changing the images on the big screen, opening doors, and the inclusion of a light brick.
Lego has had a history of Batman pieces and sets. It has honored various films and actors who have taken on the role, from Christian Bale’s Dark Knight movies to Robert Pattinson’s The Batman.
The Lego Batcave set has two release dates. For VIP members, you can get your hands on it on June 5. For everyone else, it will be available on June 8. It is priced at $399.99/£344.99/€399.99.
