The moment Resident Evil fans have been waiting for has arrived. On Wednesday, Nov. 29, the Good Smile Company unveiled its highly-anticipated Leon S. Kennedy Nendoroid. The figure, which is currently available to pre-order, depicts the iconic main character from Resident Evil 4. The survival horror game was originally released in 2005. However, it received a remake that dropped earlier this year in March. Considering the game has become more popular than ever, it was only a matter of time before the Good Smile Company came up with a Leon S. Kennedy Nendoroid.
Leon S. Kennedy Nendoroid Debuts Months After Resident Evil 4 Remake
Leon S. Kennedy first made his debut in 1998 with the release of Resident Evil 2. The game, which featured Leon as one of two playable characters, centered around the rookie police officer escaping Raccoon City following a zombie outbreak. Leon returned to the franchise years later as the main character of Resident Evil 4. The sequel followed Leon, now a federal agent, as he embarked on a mission to Spain in order to save the president’s daughter after being kidnapped.
Since then, Leon has appeared in a number of other Resident Evil video games, films, and TV series. Most recently, he returned in the critically acclaimed Resident Evil 4 Remake, which dropped on March 24.
Following the game’s release, the Good Smile Company gave fans a glimpse of its Leon S. Kennedy Nendoroid in May as part of its 2023 spring showcase. Now, six months later, the Japanese manufacturer has officially made the figure available to pre-order. The Nendoroid will come with two face plates to give Leon different expressions. It’ll also come with fun accessories like Leon’s handgun and attache case as seen in Resident Evil 4.
The Leon S. Kennedy Nendoroid is available to pre-order from Nov. 30 to Jan. 25.
