Singer Lewis Capaldi recently revealed he is battling vertigo and thought he was dying for a couple of days before the diagnosis. This comes only a few months after his Tourette diagnosis.
On the career front, Lewis Capaldi is certainly on a high. The musician’s second album, “Broken By Desire to Be Heavenly Sent,” is set to be released in May. On top of that, he signed a seven-figure deal with Netflix for his upcoming documentary.
However, Capaldi’s personal life has been riddled with several health struggles. Much of this was covered in the upcoming Netflix documentary, which is set for release on April 5.
The Netflix documentary shows how the singer struggled with his Tourette diagnosis. The singer-songwriter shocked fans when he shared the diagnosis on social media in September 2022.
Tourette syndrome causes a person to make involuntary sounds and movements known as tics. While breaking the news, Capaldi claimed the diagnosis “made a lot of sense” because he had felt the symptoms for many years.
Capaldi also revealed he felt he was dying before the diagnosis. He said:
“I thought I was dying because I am a hypochondriac, so I thought I had some degenerative disease. But I don’t, so good news on that front.”

Lewis Capaldi Feels He Was Dying Before Vertigo Diagnosis
It is barely six months since Lewis Capaldi shocked fans with news of his Tourette diagnosis. Now, he has given fans another sad update about his health condition.
The 26-year-old Scottish singer recently revealed that he was battling vertigo. Capaldi also confessed that he thought he was dying “for a couple of days” while feeling the disconcerting symptoms of the condition.
Capaldi opened up about his latest health setback during a special screening of his upcoming Netflix documentary. The event took place at Glasgow’s Everyman Cinema on Thursday.
While speaking to fans at the event, he said:
“I’m alive and living. I’ve not been very well. I’ve got vertigo. So I’m spinning but I’m smiling. I’m not dying so it’s good. I did think I was for a couple of days but luckily I’m here.”
Vertigo is best described as a symptom rather than a condition. A person diagnosed with vertigo gets the sensation that they or the environment around them is moving or spinning.
News of Lewis Capaldi battling vertigo comes only six months after he revealed he had Tourette syndrome. At the time, Capaldi claimed he went public about it because he didn’t want people thinking his twitches were due to cocaine use.
Also, there have been some misleading Lewis Capaldi dying reports during this period. Some are mostly due to a lack of information on the condition, while others are down to cruel media reporting. However, the singer has assured fans he is always learning new methods to deal with the condition.
