Several rumours surfaced the web on Google’s next line of Nexus 5 (2015). Reports indicates that LG is strongly suggested to be the one developing the new smartphone.
As cited on AndroidPit, an anonymous source confirmed that LG are indeed one of the vendors who are set to develop the next generation of Nexus smartphone.
Furthermore, the source stated that the next Nexus won’t be based on the already released LG’s flagship phone, LG G4. Instead, the phone will be based on LG’s prototype device which was never released to the market.
Another source who claims to be someone close to Google’s engineering team Nexus 5 2015 will have a significant design improvement. One of which is its durability, where the phone’s body will be covered with carbon fiber material.
This next LG’s Nexus phone is rumoured to be powered by Snapdragon 820, 3GB RAM, 64GB & 128GB memory, wireless charging, USB-C, and a fingerprint scanner. It will also have a comes in 16MP OIS rear camera 5MP wide angle view front camera.
The source can also confirmed that there will be a joint launch of the new Nexus and Android M, indicating that the next Nexus will run on Android’s newest operating system. The reports concluded that there’s a higher chance that Nexus 2015 and Android M will release by the end of September this year.
