Lindsie Chrisley’s marriage to Will Campbell lasted for nine years. Lindsie Chrisley and Will Campbell were together for over a decade, their relationship going on and off numerous times. The duo finally separated in July 2021. Now, Lindsie is admitting that there was a missing piece in her and Will’s marriage. Read on to find out more about what she said.
Lindsie’s Admission
Lindsie Chrisley’s marriage to Will led to the estrangement from her dad, so naturally, her divorce helped her reconcile with him.
The Celebrity Family Feud star’s dad wrote a heartfelt message for her on Instagram following news of her separation from Will. Todd wrote:
“I’m here, I love you, whatever’s going on in your life right now, I see it. I’m working things out for your good for you. My child, there is nothing that you can do or have done that would make me love you less.”
Lindsie recently appeared alongside her dad, stepmom, Julie, and stepsister, Savannah, in a recent Chrisley Confessions episode, a podcast hosted by Todd and Julie.
During the episode, Lindsie shared her struggles in her former marriage. However, she also made a startling admission.
The 33-year-old admitted that she expected Will to be everything her dad was, but it didn’t happen in their nine-year-long marriage. Hence, she struggled to come to terms with it.
“When I wasn’t getting that from my husband and knowing, I think, subconsciously, that I still needed that from my dad, but I was unwilling to say it because I was unwilling to acknowledge that there was a missing piece in my marriage,” she said.
Todd also confessed on the episode that he needed the estrangement from his daughter as he would not be where he is now if not for the incident.
Lindsie Chrisley’s Marriage To Will
Lindsie Chrisley and Will Campbell met at Georgia State University and started dating a year later. Lindsie’s family did not support the union, which led to Lindsie’s estrangement from her dad.
Lindsie and Will eventually eloped in 2012 and welcomed a son the same year. Since then, the couple has gone through a roller coaster of emotions and decisions. The couple separated and reunited several times until their marriage ultimately ended. In October 2021, the couple finalized their divorce. The couple shares joint custody of their 12-year-old son Jackson, with no alimony or spousal support agreement.
Thankfully, Lindsie has realized that family is important. Hopefully, they will stay happy and can resolve other issues amicably in the future.
