The first time you enter the class-choosing system in Lords of the Fallen, you will get the chance to select between nine available classes. However, there are four additional hidden classes in the game, one of which is the Dark Crusader. Regarded as one step more powerful than other Lampbearers, many players want to get the class as soon as possible. However, there are a few steps you need to complete to unlock the Dark Crusader class in Lords of the Fallen.
How To Get Dark Crusader Class in Lords of the Fallen
There are two methods to unlock the Dark Crusader Class in Lords of the Fallen:
- Purchasing the Deluxe Edition of the game
- Completing Issac’s Quest Storyline
If you want to start the game with the Dark Crusader class, you can purchase the Deluxe Edition of Lords of the Fallen. You can find the Deluxe Edition for purchase on various platforms, including:
- Steam Store
- Xbox Store
- PlayStation Store
- Epic Games Store
If you already own the base game on Steam, you can also buy the Dark Crusader class separately on the Starting Class Steam page.
Another way to get Dark Crusader Class in Lords of the Fallen is to finish a certain quest line. However, this requires time and skill, as you will need to defeat a tough boss you encountered early in your tutorial. Anyways, follow these steps to get the new class:
- Quite early in the game, you will be able to start the questline. You need to go to the broken bridge right from the arena where you fought the Lightreaper boss. Here, you will find the Flayed Skin which you need to pick up.
- When you traverse to the Umbral realm, you will encounter Issac’s corpse past a blocked path. This path unlocks when you examine Stigmas associated with Issac’s mission as a Dark Crusader.
- There are four Stigmas tied to Issac scattered throughout the Umbral area. You will find them in Lower Calrath, the Fief of the Chill Curse, and the Path of Devotion.
- After you interact with these Stigmas, you will get an option to challenge Issac’s spirit, known as Paladin’s Burden in an arena that opens up in the Path of Devotion.
- As you take on and defeat Issac in this arena, the victory grants you the Umbral-Tinged Flayed Skin item, in addition to Vestige Seeds and Umbral Scourings. With this item, you will be able to unlock the previously inaccessible path in the Abandoned Redscope.
- As you return to the blocked path door, use the Umbral-Tinged Flayed Skin. You will then find the loot from which you will be able to get the Paladin armor set, Issac’s Sword, and Paladin Issac’s Rosary, signifying your connection to the fallen Paladin crusader.
- Before you fully unlock the Dark Crusader class in Lords of the Fallen, you will need to deal with Lightreaper in your playthrough. If you have beaten him at the start of the game, you will have the class unlocked. If you haven’t, then you will have some help in the form of Issac’s Umbral version you can summon to fight with you against Lightreaper.
This is all you need to know about how to unlock the Dark Crusader Class in Lords of the Fallen.
