Summer is the season for music festivals and spending time with friends in the sun. In Los Angeles, California, festival-goers eagerly anticipate HARD Summer, where fans can fully enjoy electronic music. However, videos circulating on social media have highlighted difficulties faced by some guests and even security guards at the event. Some attendees had been seen attempting to jump the fence to gain entry without paying. Additionally, there had been reports of guards rudely confiscating belongings from guests in an effort to prevent potential problems.

While festivals are definitely a time for fun and chilling with your friends, they can also be dangerous. As a result, certain security measures will always be taken to ensure the safety of every guest. At HARD Summer in Los Angeles, California, multiple videos were released of guests who hadn’t purchased tickets scaling the fence outside to get in. Others who did purchase their tickets were also harassed by security officers who took it upon themselves to confiscate different items.

The above video showcases how a security guard confiscated a row of stickers that say the word ‘Hot’ on them. Yes, the very same stickers that you would normally see on a rotisserie chicken at the grocery store. Why were they confiscated, you ask? One commenter said, “Some of these security guards were genuinely trying to ruin people’s day.” The festival was only for two days, and there are clearly other things that the guards had to worry about outside of stickers.

There have been many videos circulating the internet about how the behaviors that happened at the festival were likely to result in something similar to Travis Scott’s 2021 ASTROWORLD event in Texas. Fortunately, nothing of the sort ended up happening. However, let’s hope that all of the complaints that occured during the festival this year will be addressed to avoid any issues in future years.
