Despite the turbulent psychological and physical conflict between the American government and its citizens, some individuals are still trying to find joy in difficult situations. Personally, I believe it’s important to seek out silver linings during tough times to avoid losing oneself completely. In Los Angeles, California, protesters decided to add a bit of humor to the situation by playing loud, annoying music for police officers outside the Federal Detention Center.
In a hilarious video shared to Reddit by protestors, various people can be seen dancing in front of a detention center in Los Angeles, California. More specifically, they are dancing to an incredibly loud version of Barbie Girl by the band Aqua. The song itself does not have any political connotations, though it is rather annoying to have on for nearly three hours straight.
Protestors within the comments on Reddit also found this rather hilarious, with one person saying, “You animals… I love it.” I love it too, but if you take a look at the officers standing there, they don’t appear to be nearly as annoyed as I’m sure people were hoping they would be. In fact, they are likely wearing a special type of ear protection that muffles most of the noise being made.
There has been a rather long and thick string of protests against the American government and local authorities. Things have been rather tumultuous over the last six months, and it appears to have only just gotten started. Just yesterday, we reported that a bounty hunter revealed that his profession would be among those deputized by ICE to kidnap supposedly undocumented citizens.
It’s getting scarier and scarier every day to step out in public. Ideally, nothing will happen if you go to places like the grocery store or the gym, but even then, the probability of a police presence is almost inevitable.
