A woman in New Orleans, Louisiana, who was crying and barefoot, accused her husband of being her “sex trafficker,” begging other women, witnesses, to keep him away from her in a heated, emotional confrontation. It appears, however, that the whole incident was a major misunderstanding.
The incident occurred while TikTok user bri_thebaddest3 (Brianna) was out with a friend, celebrating Mardi Gras. They noticed an unnamed woman with a torn dress and no shoes, crying in the rain. Apparently, she had been fleeing from someone and asked them to call her father.
At one point, however, a man, the woman’s husband, approached her on the street. The Louisiana woman immediately freaked out, telling Brianna and her friend, “He is my sex trafficker. Please, do not let me go with him. I do not want to go with him.”
The woman called the police, but the man didn’t go anywhere. Apparently, he had already talked with the woman’s father. Brianna understood, but told him she was “not safe.”
The crying lady kept accusing her husband of sex trafficking, and continuously asked the women not to let him go with her. At one point, she even requested to be picked up by her mother rather than her father, potentially because he was talking to her husband.
A back-and-forth erupted between the married couple, with the man apparently trying to reason with the crying woman.
Woman Makes Clarification Statement
While Brianna waited for a police patrol car to arrive, the man walked toward the street and waved at a red truck to stop. It appears that the vehicle was driven by her father. Despite her previous request to be picked up by her mother, she agreed to leave with her dad, but asked the women to prevent Angel from entering the vehicle with her.
The woman got inside her father’s truck and left the area.
Brianna’s clip went viral, with over 50,000 people liking the clip and hundreds leaving comments. One said, “He didn’t deny it once…” while another commented, “I hope she’s safe now. Omg.“
One of the users commenting, however, was the Louisiana woman herself, Yamilet. She explained that she was “extremely drunk and blacked out,” adding that her husband “tried to help her” after leaving a police station.
Regarding her “sex trafficking” accusations, she said she misinterpreted the situation. Apparently, while in a taxi, her husband asked the driver how much the driver would charge them for the trip. She, however, jumped out of the vehicle and ran away, believing she was to be trafficked. Yamilet then clarified the whole incident with the police.
