Recently, we’ve seen many situations of individuals impersonating certain law enforcement agencies, such as ICE, to commit various crimes or scam people. However, it seems that a few have taken the impersonating thing a bit too far and are now posing as police officers, too. One of these situations happened in Louisiana, where a woman experienced one of the scariest moments of her life as a fake cop was chasing her. While she managed to realize the man was not a LEO, this just shows that anyone can pose as a law enforcement officer to harm others.
The original footage comes from TikTok user fanquisha.rene.johnson, who is also the victim of this situation. According to her, she was driving on the Louisiana freeway when she tried to switch lanes at a weigh station, when a fake cop started tailing her. This went on for a while, and the man inside the truck turned on the false sirens. The OP decided to call the police, and they told her there were no units in that area, which made her realize she was being chased by someone impersonating a police officer.
She also mentions that she started recording the fake cop, and when he noticed, he stopped and drove away. However, the man was trying to pull her over. Fortunately, he didn’t get a chance, as the woman saw through the man’s facade.
The OP then commented in the post that, after the man saw he was being recorded, he pulled over and stopped tailing her. Also, the actual police said they’d send a cruiser, but that’s as far as the story goes. It is uncertain if the police department caught the man, but we hope they did.
As you can imagine, this shocked many Louisiana citizens, and they started voicing their concerns regarding this impersonator.
“That is so frightening for every woman out there.” – Just a mom 4u via TikTok.
“Glad you didnโt stop. When in doubt, keep going to a police station if needed.” – csnsj via TikTok.
While we already knew people were impersonating ICE agents, we now need to add fake police officers to the list. Hopefully, this footage will be a wake-up call for the law enforcement agencies in Louisiana, so they can stop these people before they potentially harm someone.
