California’s car culture is beloved by many. Even if lowriders aren’t the most common sight, enthusiasts love spotting them on the streets or at exhibitions. However, like many flashy things out there, there are times when we just want to say, “Enough is enough.” Recently, someone caught on camera a classic El Camino with some hydraulic modifications. Normally, this would be a cool thing to see, but this poor vehicle looked as if it were about to break down into pieces, as the modifications looked terrible. But beyond that, this vehicular malfunction annoyed several people who were driving close to this car.
The video above, shared by a Redditor, shows one of the jankiest and uncoolest El Camino vehicles in recent times. As you can see, the vehicle is driving down the road, trying to show off the hydraulics, but instead of performing a slick move, it looks as if the car were about to break down.
You can actually see how the man tries to activate the hydraulics, but instead of raising all wheels, only a couple of them work, leaving the front left wheel on the ground, while raising the others, thus making the poor El Camino look tipsy, clunky, and pretty funny, if you ask us.
While this is certainly a hilarious situation, the truth is that it is also a pretty frustrating one. People don’t usually like to deal with drivers like this, who, by trying to show off their vehicles, end up causing chaos on the road or stalling traffic. And, despite how strong the lowrider culture is in some cities in California, there’s a time and a place for everything.
Naturally, a lot of people saw this, and beyond some mocking comments, they also vented their frustration. “Get off the road if you want to play around,” said one user. “Imagine trying to get to work, and the dude in front of you is peacocking like a child by having their car act like it’s having a seizure across multiple lanes!” commented another user.
Frankly, we have to agree. Lowriders can be great, but some people take showing off too far, causing chaos on the roads and ruining others’ days. If it looked cool, that would be one thing — but in this case, it just looks like a car about to break down, and we’d rather see it parked elsewhere.
