The children of the iconic I Love Lucy stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Lucie Arnaz, and Desi Arnaz Jr., recently treated their fans to look into a rare and special event family dinner in Las Vegas.
Lucie Arnaz shared the special family reunion with a photo on her Instagram page. The siblings reportedly do not get to spend as much time together as they would like these days. However, thanks to Lucie’s son, Nick Luckinbill, the Arnaz siblings spent some much-needed time together catching up.
The Daily Mail reports that it has been some time since Desi Arnaz Jr was spotted publicly. The former ’60s teen idol is now nearly unrecognizable at 71. He is not much for socializing. Desi reportedly prefers to keep to himself since his wife, Amy, passed away in 2015 from cancer.
Lucie was thrilled to share the family photo with fans. She posted the photo on her Instagram page with a sweet caption. ‘With our special guest, my recalcitrant brother, Desi Arnaz, Jr.!!! Desi is alive and well, my friends – just likes to stay a bit ‘undercover.’ The joy and love she feels for her family were evident in her post, making it a heartwarming moment for her fans.
Former Teen Heartthrob Desi Arnaz Jr Lives Quiet Life In AZ
Desi Arnaz Jr.’s days as a teen idol and dodging screaming packs of teenage girls are long gone. He has lived in Boulder, AZ, since 1986. Following his relocation, he purchased the historic Boulder Theater and converted the former cinema into a live theater.
Before his retirement, Desi produced many shows, including An Evening With Lucille Ball, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Dance Etc‘s annual children’s dance recitals.
However, Desi mostly prefers to live a quiet and private life in his Boulder home. Lucie Arnaz shared more details about the family outing, calling her brother Desi Arnaz Jr. their ‘special guest.’ Lucie also took time to shout out her husband, Larry Luckinbill.
‘We are here for the weekend as Larry is being tributed during the 35th Anniversary of Star Trek V celebration at The Treksperts Convention here. ‘He played Spock’s brother, Sybok in that film – and with his autobiography just released, is a very special guest here.’ Laurence appeared as Spock’s brother in 1989’s Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
Lucie Arnaz gushed over her family and looked ecstatic while spending time with Desi Arnaz Jr. She closed out her Instagram, adding hashtags for “grateful” and “family fun.”
