Super Bowl LV is just around the corner. This Sunday, February 7, 2021, The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For the first time in Super Bowl history, the hosting team will play in the Super Bowl. After a long uphill battle, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will return to the Super Bowl for the first time in almost twenty years; this will be their second-ever Super Bowl appearance. In their last appearance, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Oakland Raiders. Now, Madden 21 attempts to predict the winner of Super Bowl LV. Will the Kansas City Chiefs repeat by defeating the Buccaneers?
Odds on favorite, #1 seed Kansas City Chiefs will face the underdog Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Many consider the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the underdog despite Tom Brady returning to his tenth Super Bowl. Many consider this a dream matchup of an upcoming dynasty quarterback vs the Goat, Brady.
Over the years, Madden simulation has accurately predicted the Super Bowl on most occasions. In fact, over the last 17 years, Madden was correct eleven times; however, since Super Bowl 49, Madden has not been able to predict the winner two years in a row. Last year, Madden had the Kansas City Chiefs beating the San Francisco 49ers, 35 to 31. The final score of the actual game was 31 to 20 in a Chiefs victory. Now Madden 21 looks to predict Super Bowl LV.
Madden Prediction
Now Madden 21 has predicted the Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 37 to 27. At halftime, the score was 14 to 13 with the Chiefs having a 1 point lead. With six minutes remaining in the 4th quarter, the score is tied 27 to 27. Madden 21 predicts that Tom Brady will complete 30 out of 44 passes for a total of 332 yards. The simulation has Brady throwing for three touchdowns and one interception. On the other side, Mahomes is predicted to complete 31 out of 41 passes. These passes will supposedly result in 422 yards gained and four touchdown passes. The final touchdown of the game is a score by Patrick Mahomes running the ball into the endzone.
Will Madden 21 get it right for the second year in a row? Or will we see Brady pull off another upset and earn yet another Super Bowl ring? We will just have to wait until this Sunday to find out.
