Madonna’s lovely relationship with her son David Banda remains intact despite him moving out of his mother’s house. The 18-year-old made the big decision earlier in 2024 after graduating high school, and so far, it hasn’t been a terrible experience. Recently, Banda jumped on his Instagram Live to give viewers details about the new chapter of his life. During the session, a fan asked how he liked living independently, and Banda responded surprisingly. The teenager revealed he loved it, especially sharing his home with his 21-year-old girlfriend and model, Maria Atuesta.
“I love it, I’m not on my own, I’ve got my girlfriend. But I love it,” Banda said.
However, the independent young man admitted that he had been scavenging and didn’t have enough money for food.
“It’s lovely to experience it being 9 o’clock at night, me being hungry and realizing that I don’t have enough money to get food, but we don’t have enough food in the house and scavenging. It’s fun,” he said.
While Madonna‘s son David Banda’s words might have been a joke, it sparked mixed reactions from fans. On the one hand, some noted it was good for Banda to live independently and understand how to make money early. Meanwhile, others found it confusing as they believed the teenager could easily fall back on Madonna’s wealth if things got more challenging for him.
Following the myriad of reactions, Banda took to social media with a post, clearing the air about his situation. The post highlighted Madonna’s close relationship with David Banda and how much of a supportive mother she was. “My mother is very supportive of me. She has always been supportive of me. I am very happy in my life,” Banda revealed on his Instagram Story. He further clarified that he was neither living out on the streets nor starving. “Please stop worrying everything is good,” he finished. Meanwhile, a source corroborated Banda’s words, telling People that Madonna and Banda are very close. Moreover, the 65-year-old supports all her kids and always ensures they are okay.
