James Woods was a prominent fast-talking actor back in the day; however, it appears he now wants to limit whom he talks to online because the Trump-supporting Hollywood star has set his social media accounts to protected or private status. Apparently, allegations regarding Woods’ supposed predatory behavior back in Las Vegas, Nevada, have not only resurfaced but also gone viral, likely triggering the actor’s decision to lock his socials.
Some eagle-eyed X/Twitter users were among the first to notice that Woods’ X and Instagram accounts were recently set to protected or private status. This means Woods will pick who can follow him and see or interact with his posts; this wasn’t the case a couple of days ago. Recently, a viral X post recalled Woods’ scandal where he allegedly tried to take a 16-year-old girl to a hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The claims came from actress Amber Tamblyn, who recalled that Woods tried to pick her up in a restaurant. Woods allegedly said, “Even better” after learning that Tamblyn was only 16 at the time. Woods called Tamblyn’s statement “100% FALSE” back in 2017 during the height of President Trump’s first term, though no police report or lawsuit followed. Since then, several women and actresses have come forth with similar accusations against Woods, something the actor denied.
The post has since earned more than a million views and has been shared in multiple viral retweets. It’s not clear whether Woods locked his X account due to the viral tweet or something else, but other X users easily assumed that it wasn’t a coincidence. In any case, Woods is now facing renewed criticism, especially since he remains an active Trump and MAGA supporter.
People online are slamming Woods again
So far, Woods hasn’t addressed the recent criticisms or the resurfaced allegations from Amber Tamblyn despite setting his X account to a protected status. The actor continues to criticize the Democratic Party and defend President Donald Trump, particularly against anti-Trump sentiments and X users questioning Woods, “Why do you support an adjudicated rapist and self-admitted sexual predator with 34 felony convictions? Why is that ok?”
Meanwhile, numerous other X users have commented on the allegations against Woods, with one commenter joking, “Paging Chris Hansen,” from NBC Dateline’s To Catch a Predator series. Others claim that Woods belonged in the Trump administration, stating that “James Woods truly is the perfect figurehead for the MAGA movement.”
Some, however, defended Woods. “Accused but never charged, nor is he under investigation!” according to one commenter, pointing out how Woods strongly denied his accusers in the #MeToo movement. Woods, for the record, has blocked multiple social media accounts for discussing the accusations or bringing it up repeatedly, only this time, X users might have overwhelmed him.
