Everyone is free to have their own preferences and ideologies, including political ones. However, when you are supporting a group against a minority, maybe you should not go to the country of that minority, at least not showing that you support a movement against them. It is not that you should hide the political movements you follow, but rather, that you could avoid many problems by doing so. Something like what happened in this video on Reddit, where a woman traveled to Los Cabos, Mexico, wearing a cap with the iconic MAGA phrase, which caused a Mexican man to confront her for visiting the country.
Redditor Tacomeplease shared a video on r/PublicFreakout in which a woman is walking, but what stands out is her hat with the phrase “Make America Great Again” on it. So, it is ironic that someone who supports this ideology would visit a country where many of the deported migrants are from. The man in Los Cabos who confronts this MAGA woman does not appear aggressive and does so when her husband is nearby. The man simply asks why she is there if she doesn’t want Mexicans, and the worst part is that, with a smirk on her face, she responds that she is half-Mexican. This makes it a thousand times worse because she would have voted against her own ancestry. Because of this, the man retaliates by telling the woman that she had better go back to her country and that no one wanted her in Mexico.
She really thought she was immune by saying she’s half-Mexican.

“Go back to your country,” regardless of the person’s political ideology, is a phrase widely used against migrants from all countries in the USA. So the Mexican man just returned the same energy.
The look of shock on her face is priceless.

Once again, people are free to think and say what they want, but as in this example, women are in the minority when visiting Mexico. It may have been better to keep a low profile during her vacation; not everyone should know which political party you prefer.
