A man in Tennessee went out on a lovely date with his pregnant wife. That wouldn’t be controversial or news-worthy, if not for the fact that there’s a 22-year gap between them, and the woman is his friend’s daughter, two facts that the 49-year-old man insists on emphasizing nonstop.
The man, Jeffrey, shared highlights of the date on TikTok. Similar to his other videos, he started by saying, “I married my friend’s daughter, she is 27 weeks pregnant, and let’s go on a date.”
The couple held hands as they were walking to a Texas-style restaurant in East Tennessee. Once inside, and after filming themselves smiling, Jeffrey and his wife started their dinner with some buns, followed by a blooming onion. Moving on to his salad, the 49-year-old joked about putting the dressing on his wife, who laughed and said, “No.”
Entrées followed, and husband and wife enjoyed their meaty meal. Back home, Jeffrey called it a “wonderful date,” and revealed that her daughter was “moving a lot,” so he decided to call it a night, go upstairs, and “snuggle with them.”
Much Needed Context, Reactions
In a previous TikTok, the Tennessee man revealed how she met his now-spouse. It all happened back in 2017, when he met his wife’s mother, with whom he quickly developed a close friendship. Years later, in 2023, Jeffrey was invited to a party, and he immediately “hit it off” with his friend’s daughter.
He was 46, and she was 24 at the time, and they moved in together months after they met. In total, they share eight children from previous relationships.
Given the shock of the reveal, many users were not particularly kind to Jeffrey, making relentless and savage jokes about the decades-long age gap.
“He set that 18-year-alarm,” one user said. Another one commented, “I’m gonna take a guess and say y’all aren’t friends anymore.” A third one asked, “Is there like a shortage of people to marry?“
While the memes will not stop coming, since Jeffrey is pretty adamant on constantly mentioning his and his wife’s age and the fact that she is his friend’s daughter, it appears that the Tennessee couple doesn’t mind at all.
