After receiving my driver’s license, I learned you don’t mess with tow truck drivers. Sure, there are a few unpleasant drivers out there, but chances are that if they’re taking your car away for any reason, it’s likely your own fault. One person managed to capture an altercation between a tow truck driver and the driver of the vehicle he was towing. Things quickly went south, but fortunately, the whole thing was reposted to Reddit so that everyone could see and judge for themselves.
The video appears to be taken by a random passerby who happened to witness the altercation as it was happening. Comedically staged in front of a Great Wall Restaurant, the driver of the towed car gets into his vehicle and attempts to drive it out of the lock that the tow truck has it in. After a few seconds of failed attempts, he gets out and takes his anger out on the tow truck driver himself. He can be seen landing a single punch before backing away just as the other driver puts his hand toward his waistband.
It was never said out loud, but it was heavily implied that the truck driver had some weapon that he was reaching for when he was attacked. Fortunately, things didn’t get out of hand, and the driver returned to his car to continue driving it out of the back of the tow truck. Eventually, after another few seconds of failed attempts, you can hear that the driver damaged both vehicles somehow. In the replies, everyone agrees that the tow truck driver had a lot of patience to sit by and watch all this happen.
“Wtf, he punches him in the face, and than politely asks to put his car down? He was very lucky he did not get shot as the repo man seems to have a gun ready to pull out.”
Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the driver of the red car is definitely going to have a pile of fees to pay after all this.
