Telltale Games has revealed an all-new partnership with Marvel Entertainment, set to be released in 2017. The announcement was published on Telltale’s official twitter page, and posted on the telltalegames.com blog section. This new partnership is the latest in a series of projects with companies such as Image Comics, Gearbox Software, HBO and even Mojang.

In February 2015 the studio had previously announced the production of “Super Shows”, a hybrid work combining television and videogames, in partnership with Lions Gate Entertainment. According to Telltale CEO and co-founder Kevin Bruner, “A ‘Super Show’ episode combines one part of interactive playable content with one part of scripted television style content.”

Telltale reached it’s biggest success in 2012 with the launch of The Walking Dead, which sold one million copies in 20 days and went on to win over 80 Game of the Year awards, leaving it’s mark as one of the greatest examples of video game story telling.
