We all knew that the beloved X-Men leader would end up landing on MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls, and the wait is almost over. Phoenix Cyclops is about to join the playable roster of MARVEL Tokon, bringing an excellent all-rounder character for many players to try. Speaking of trying, those who haven’t played the game will get a chance to experience it for three hours, as PS Plus subscribers get a trial of this flashy, fast-paced, and addictive fighting title.
The First DLC Character for MARVEL Tokon, Phoenix Cyclops, Debuts on November 2
Today, Marvel and Sony unveiled the gameplay trailer for Phoenix Cyclops, who, as many already know, is the first DLC character in the Year 1 Pass and joins MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls on November 2.
As you can see in the trailer, Phoenix Cyclops is an all-rounder, meaning that he will excel both in melee and at range, which checks out. On top of that, and for those used to only the eye-beam-launching hero, he also has some fiery moves, hence the Phoenix in his name, all of which are great for melee combos. There is also great news for comic book fans, as we also got a glimpse of some of his DLC costumes, including the classic X-Men one.
While Phoenix Cyclops is still a couple of weeks away from making his debut in MARVEL Tokon, those who go to EVO France will get to try him first. So, if you’re around for that event, make sure to take the X-Men leader out for a few bouts.
Lastly, and this is happening right now, PS Plus subscribers will be able to play up to three hours of MARVEL Tokon: Fighting Souls. This is a pretty generous trial, as it will let you get the hang of most characters and even try some of the story mode scenarios if that’s what you want to do.
And if that trial convinces you to get the game, there is even better news: the Ultimate Edition is at a discount right now, and that version will let you use Phoenix Cyclops when he launches later this year.
So, there you go, the Marvel family is getting bigger, and the one to inaugurate Year 1 is none other than good old Scott Summers. If you’re eager to try another X-Men character, mark your calendars, and if you just want to experience the game for a while, now’s the perfect time to jump into the trial.
