Marvel’s Disney+ shows have been a huge success amongst fans, and it looks like the trend will continue for a long time. So far, we’ve had the releases of WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki. Currently, the first season of What If? is underway. However, Marvel is always looking into the future, and they’re already working on their upcoming shows. One of these shows is Armor Wars, and they’ve just found their head writer.
According to Deadline, Yassir Lester is attached to Armor Wars as its head writer. Yassir has previously worked as a writer for shows such as The Carmichael Show and Girls. According to his IMDb page, Yassir also served as a writer, executive story editor, and actor for the show Black Monday. Don Cheadle, who is set to star in Armor Wars, also stars in Black Monday.
Other shows Yassir has written for include Kenan and Earth to Ned. Kenan is a sitcom starring Kenan Thompson on NBC. Earth to Ned is a talkshow starring an alien. A lot of Yassir’s former work seems to be with comedic shows, and it’s interesting to see how much comedy Armor Wars will potentially have.
Armor Wars will star Don Cheadle as he reprises his role as War Machine. Although not much has been revealed with the story of the show, we know it’s not a prequel, and it doesn’t take place in a different universe. That detail is now important to remember due to projects such as Black Widow and What If?.
Other Marvel Projects
Besides Armor Wars, Marvel has plenty more Disney+ shows coming soon. Other notable shows include Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Ironheart, and She-Hulk. That’s not to mention all of the movies on the horizon including Eternals, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
With so many Marvel projects coming out, Armor Wars still shines as an exciting project. Especially with the talented crew working on it. Check out other TV stories such as How The Sopranos Finale Split a Fanbase and Adrien Brody Receives a Blunt Warning in New Chapelwaite Clip.
