Marvel’s Spider-Man on the PlayStation 4 received an update adding a save transfer tool for the PlayStation 5 and three new costumes. Insomniac Games, the developers behind the game, teased the save transfer tool on their Twitter earlier this month.
After downloading update 1.19, you can export your PS4 save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on the PS5. You will have to export the save from the PS4 game in order for it to work, as the PS5 version of the game cannot pull the save from the cloud.
We have heard you – in an upcoming update for #SpiderManPS4, we will add the ability to export your save to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. This update will also add the three new suits from Remastered to the PS4 game. We expect to bring you this update around Thanksgiving. pic.twitter.com/EqoKnto3FV

Marvel’s Spider-Man Update Allows Save Transfer to the PS5
The update also includes the Armored Advanced Suit, Arachnid-Rider Suit, and the Amazing Suit. These suits were made for the Remastered version but are being added back into the original game. The Amazing Suit is most notable as coming from 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man.
After transferring your save from the PS4 to PS5, you will not only see some graphical changes but some changes for Peter Parker himself. Peter Parker’s face model was recast for the PS5 version to better match the facial capture. This change confused players as to why this kind of change is necessary.
Marvel’s Spider-Man swung onto the PS4 in 2018 along with three additional content updates. The original game was included as a pack-in with the ultimate edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the PS5. This remastered version of the game includes updated visuals and runs at 60 FPS.
Update 1.19 Adds Three New Spidey Costumes
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales follows newly anointed Spider-Man Miles Morales as he comes to learn his new powers. Akin to Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, this new game was first developed as an expansion but grew into its own game. The game has also slightly shifted settings, now to the snowy streets of Harlem.
