While passing through Maryland Route 713 near Fort Meade, you may stumble upon a unique sight. A Redditor called Nobodygrotesque recently uploaded a video showing an unknown Naruto fan training next to the state highway. In the video, you can see the man hitting a pole in a movement similar to the training scenes in the popular anime series. He started by using his feet to strike the pole several times. Afterward, he moved closer to attack the pole with his hands—all while wearing the iconic red and black outfit of the Akatsuki organization.

Anyone knows this guy’s story? I’ve seen him for a solid year “training” by Fort Meade base.

Not much is known about this mysterious man aside from his clear interest in the Naruto series. Nobodygrotesque was also very curious about this person. Other Redditors quickly mentioned that the man was a well-known figure in the Maryland area. Apparently, this wasn’t the first time he had trained this way. “Yes, Naruto Man! I’ve seen him out and about for almost a decade. I tell others that he is our local cryptid. I’ve heard he’s a nice guy,” one Redditor commented.

Some users noted that they had seen the man training a decade ago while they were still in college. Many praised his commitment to sticking to this training regimen. Although nobody understands why he wears Naruto outfits while training in public, they still commend his dedication. “Hey, if that’s what keeps him motivated to stay active and he’s not harming others, I’d say let him be. That’s his ninja way,” another user commented.

One Redditor commented that they believed they had seen an article about the unknown man and his mother. According to them, this was just a hobby that this Maryland cryptid had followed for many years. “Don’t quote me on this, but I remember an article about him, and his mother said something about how he’s a little bit special, but everyone waving and cheering him on has brought a lot of joy to him. So I always say hi and wave when I see him,” the user remarked.

Although the Maryland man was seen wearing an Akatsuki outfit in the video, he didn’t always wear this iconic organization’s clothing. Apparently, he would switch his look from time to time. One user noted that they had seen him wearing Naruto’s orange jacket before.

Besides cheering on the man, some people joked and told Nobodygrotesque to challenge him if he was so curious. The Redditor declined, saying they didn’t want to get beaten up. “Preparing for the 4th Great Ninja War,” another user joked.
