A woman in Osterville, Massachusetts, apparently caused a 15-minute traffic standoff just because she refused to move an extra few inches for a tractor-trailer. The truck wanted to drive through, but this woman couldn’t be bothered, so her car just sat there, with her blocking the street and part of the pavement too. She also repeatedly called the people around her “crazy.”
The video was shared on TikTok by @cenobia and later reposted on Reddit by r/PublicFreakout. The woman filming the incident repeatedly asks the driver to move back a little. Meanwhile, another man standing by the car tells her to back up, saying the truck can’t come through without hitting her.
The woman initially stays inside her vehicle. The people around her continue asking her to move. She eventually gets out while another woman tries to knock on her window. “Do not touch my car!” she says. When the woman filming tells her to back up, she responds, “Leave me alone.”
The confrontation quickly becomes more heated. The woman calls the man a “junkie” and asks, “Are you stupid?” She also calls the woman filming “white trash.” The woman filming responds, “No, I’m not. Look at you,” before pointing out that the confrontation could make them both go viral.
The video ends with the argument still going. People in the background can be heard telling the woman to get back into her car. The person filming also points out that the woman keeps accusing others of starting the confrontation. The footage shows the dispute continuing around the stopped vehicles and blocked roadway.
Internet Reacts to Massachusetts Traffic Standoff
Reddit commenters focused on the woman’s behavior and the length of the standoff. One wrote, “How does this lunatic function in the world? Her blood pressure must be through the roof.” Another commented, “The giant bag filled with *expletive* she does not need that she cannot put down is a red flag of a crazy person.”
Some commenters focused on her clothing and the large bag she carried. One wrote, “I want to know why she’s got a hoodie on under a tightly wrapped scarf and turtle neck. It’s not a hijab, I don’t think – it looks like she’s trying to cover herself from head to toe so she’s not recognizable or something.” Another joked, “Just tell the cops she’s holding up a Dunkin’ Donuts truck, you’ll have the whole department within 5 mins.”
Other commenters speculated about why she refused to move. “She just wants the insurance money lol. She wants him to hit her,” one person wrote. Another took a more practical view: “There is no talking sense to this individual. Just call the cops and have them sort this out.”
The video does not show how the standoff ended or whether police arrived. The woman in the car is not identified.
