Across the country, “No Kings” protests have been taking place as people gather to speak out against Trump and his administration once again. Along with the colorful handmade signs, protesters also brought plenty of energy through their chants. Despite claims from some conservatives that turnout would be small, a massive “No Kings” protest filled the streets of Washington, D.C. A video from the event showed a sea of people, nearly all holding signs.
The signs featured bold and creative messages, but what caught the most attention was the chant echoing through the crowd. Since many believe that Trump’s name appears in the Epstein files, protesters could be heard shouting, “Stranger danger, there is a pedo in the White House.”
The vibes at the Washington, D.C. protest were definitely strong. Along with chants calling Trump a pedophile, many of the signs also demanded the release of the Epstein files. At the front of the march, three protesters held a massive banner that read, “Remove the regime.” Another sign took aim at MAGA with a curse word directed at them, while someone else waved a flag that said, “I identify as Antifa.” You can probably imagine a few people in this administration who wouldn’t appreciate that.
Among the crowd was also a veteran holding a sign that read, “I didn’t deploy three times for this [expletive].” Despite the charged messages, the protest itself appeared peaceful as the crowd moved through the streets. Police officers were seen walking alongside the march to make sure everything stayed under control.
People Reacting to the Massive Washington DC Protest
People online were proud of what they saw and heard at the Washington, D.C. protest. Many especially loved the chant. One person commented, “What a wonderful rhyme.” Another echoed the chant word for word, writing, “That’s a [expletive] BAR! Stranger danger, there’s a pedo in the White House!”
Some viewers even joked that a few of the officers might secretly agree with the protesters. “The cops are just marching them along. I feel like some of them are low-key happy about that,” one person wrote. A Redditor also poked fun at what Trump supporters might say in response, pretending to quote them: “Look at the overwhelming anti-Americanism from these Antifas who obviously hate America. It just oozes from each pore.”
More comments poured in supporting the Washington, D.C. protest and the other demonstrations happening across the country. One person said it was time to take America back from Trump, writing, “My grandpa was Antifa, in Patton’s army as a medic. We have a Nazi problem again, right here this time, instead of on foreign shores. As someone who identifies as a patriot who loves America and the Constitution more than that wretched cult of personality intent on destroying our country and profiting from the ashes, I say we release those files and remove the child rapist from power. While we’re at it, let’s use our bootstraps and let these fascists know we’re here and we’re pissed off. We need to take our country back before our freedoms become a distant memory.”
Hopefully, everyone at the protests stays safe.
