One of the lowest-paid jobs is delivering food with new delivery apps. Not only do they earn very little per trip, but they have to deal with some of the worst customers ever. Take, for example, this Uber driver in Texas who returned to confront the customer of her last delivery, a medical facility employee who stole some McChickens and a drink.
On TikTok, user blessedtobeme_3 shared how she had to return to her last stop to make an Uber delivery. The reason was that the app sent an alert to the driver because the customer, Latasia, reported that she did not receive the food. So blessedtobeme_3 starts to film from outside the medical facility in Texas, until she gets to the counter where she confronts the sole employee about stealing the McChickens and the drink from the order “she didn’t receive.” The most outrageous thing is that this receptionist doesn’t even flinch at the accusation, not even when the driver points her camera at the cup, still half full with the drink she just handed to Latasia not a while ago.
Latasia just stays in her place, working without really paying much attention to the driver. However, during the same time, blessedtobeme_3 complains to the receptionist that she is only making $2 per trip and that she is taking food out of her children’s mouths. The driver also asks Latasia for another employee or manager, but she remains reluctant to do more than just sit still. Latasia also doesn’t even try to feign guilt or apologize, something the driver reproaches her for.
The good thing is that, as blessedtobeme_3 promised in the video and in the comments on TikTok, she would report the employee to corporate and upload this evidence to social media. Something that some users applauded, like Raggedy-Androgynous 🔻, who replied with “I’m so HAPPY public shaming is back babyyyyyu“. Additionally, among the comments, some stand out, mainly those that claim Latasia was fired and those that reference HR’s video response:
At Hillside Medical Group, we were recently made aware of an incident involving one of our employees who acted inappropriately toward a DoorDash delivery driver. After a thorough internal review, we made the decision to immediately terminate this individual’s employment. Their actions are unacceptable and do not reflect the values or integrity we uphold as an organization.

Although this occurred outside of our workplace and unrelated to our operations, we are deeply saddened by the situation. We offer our sincere apologies to the DoorDash driver and to anyone affected. Hillside Medical Group is built on the principles of compassion, honesty, and respect, and there is no place in our team for conduct that undermines those values.
As part of taking responsibility, we have personally reached out to the driver and provided a $50.00 compensation for the trouble and distress they experienced.
This story had a satisfactory ending, with the receptionist fired, the medical facility taking responsibility for the situation, and the driver receiving a small reward.
