Monster Hunter Rise Mega Man Collaboration September 24
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

After August’s Street Fighter V collaboration comes to Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom has announced that September’s Capcom Collab 4 event will be a Mega Man-themed one. A new event quest arriving on September 24 will turn your Palamute into the blue bomber’s loyal robot dog companion, Rush.

Equipping this layered armor will not just change your Palamute’s appearance and bark to those of Rush. But it also comes with unique animations: Rush Jet when you perform a drift and a Rush Coil when you do a jumping dismount. Watch the cute new animations in the Monster Hunter Rise Mega Man collaboration trailer below.

The first Capcom Collab Event Quest launched on June 18. After facing Great Izuchi and Kulu-Ya-Ku in the Arena, the event quest will reward you with material to craft layered armor that turns your Palico into the Tsukino character from Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. If you have save data of the game, you can also get a special Talisman and the Rider layered armor set for your Monster Hunter Rise hunter. Capcom is planning to pump out up to five Collab Event Quests until the 3.3 version update. So far the company has added Monster Hunter Stories 2, Okami, and Street Fighter V event quests into the game, alongside Mega Man of course.

To bide the time for the collaboration event quest, today on September 17, Capcom is also adding a “Boomy Dango” HR8 event quest where you hunt a Bazelguese on Frost Island for the “Dango Set” sticker set. This sticker pack contains pictures of Yomogi, Hinoa, and two Palicoes, all involved in dango-making or dango-enjoying activities.

Which Capcom properties are you hoping to be the fifth and last Monster Hunter Rise collaboration quest? Tell us your hopes and ideas in the comments below, and don’t forget to keep reading The Nerd Stash for more gaming and nerd news.
