Perhaps at one time, Prince Harry believed the end to all his stress of being the ‘spare’ was to break ties with the Royal Family and live his happily-ever-after with Meghan Markle in the US. Unfortunately for him, maybe fans believe that it’s not just age that has done a number on his aging looks, but the stress of being an outcast married to a woman with an ever-failing reputation and brand. That said, he might have looked better in his younger years, and apparently, Meghan thinks so too, particularly when he was with his ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas.
September 15th marks the Duke of Sussex’s birthday, and to publicly celebrate, his wife Meghan Markle has decided to post a photo of him on her Instagram. While there likely are many recent photos of Harry dressed all fancy while doing speeches, participating in charities, or even in his casual look for family photos or their docuseries, Meghan chose a particular picture from when Harry was in his army uniform. Now, whether “Birthday Boy 🔥” is ‘handsome’ in the shot is questionable and subjective, but some clever online users have pointed out that the photo was from when he met up with his ex-girlfriend, Cressida.
Meghan Markle Used a Getty Image to Celebrate Prince Harry’s Birthday
Specifically, the photo was identical to a Getty image that the Daily Mail used in a 2015 post about Prince Harry celebrating his 31st birthday with his ex-girlfriend of two years. To use this particular image out of all the photos you’d think that Meghan had on her phone is very telling. As one commenter put it, “She most likely [chose] the photo because he looked better than he does now, the photo is a [symbol] of his ‘Hero Harry’ public image and his tag has the prestigious Wales title.”
Many others chimed in with a similar sentiment of how Harry looked a lot better in 2015 than he does now. He was younger, more relaxed, happier, and not under constant fire as being a traitorous ex-royal with a shameful wife. “She has to be doing this on purpose,” remarks another user, pointing out how, allegedly, Meghan claimed she spent hours looking at photos of Ivanka Trump’s fashion sense. So, it’s impossible that she’s would thoughtlessly post a random Getty image of her husband, on his birthday, no less.
Some also find this photo choice to be very suspicious; perhaps it means the two are no longer together but just pretending to be. Or that this is Meghan somehow throwing shade in an indirect way. Whatever the case, Prince Harry would probably agree with this comment: “I bet Harry wishes he COULD go back 10 years. He might have made better choices.”
