There’s no denying that Meghan Markle’s life is an incredible story. The Suits actress found love when she married Prince Harry. However, her transition into royalty was met with many challenges and led to her and Harry’s 2020 exit. After they departed from The Royal Family, the couple revealed secrets about what happened behind palace doors. And it seems the Duchess of Sussex could have more to say in a future memoir.
Harry already got a jumpstart on the memoir bandwagon with his 2023 release Spare. The book generated lots of buzz as Harry revealed details about the rift with The Royal Family.
After the success of Harry’s book, Meghan could be following in her husband’s footsteps. While there’s been no official word about her memoir, one royal expert believes it’ll happen at some point.
”In theory, there is no reason why Meghan could not write a memoir,” Richard Fitzwilliams tells Daily Express. “It would almost certainly sell well, probably very well, that would depend on how sensational it was.”
Why a Meghan Markle Memoir Won’t Be Published Anytime Soon
Markle would create a stir if she writes a memoir. One thing readers would be interested in is more royal secrets. The Duchess of Sussex would have a lot more to reveal, however, Fitzwilliams says don’t expect a book publication anytime soon.
The main reason for the delay is because of King Charles and Kate Middleton’s recent health issues.
At present, with two senior royals ill, she would appear uncaring and callous, if she launched further attacks on or caused embarrassment to the royal family.
While most of the book will focus on The Royal Family, Markle will also delve into her life before royalty. Much like Harry with Charles and Prince William, Meghan has a strained relationship with her father and siblings.
Although her dad Thomas Markle and half-sister Samantha Markle have criticized her via the media, the Duchess has stayed silent. As for whether she’ll talk about them in her book, that remains to be seen.
It is also unclear how much she would want to reveal about her own family, she is, bar her mother Doria, estranged from all of them.
When and if Meghan Markle does publish her memoir, it’ll create a frenzy. One must wonder what new royal secrets she’ll reveal this time around.
