She thanked her loved ones for their support in her “new chapter.” Meghan raved about her return to showbiz and rebranding her business before seemingly throwing shade at her in-laws. “All of that is part of that creativity that I’ve missed so much,” she said, presumably referencing her royal days. TMZ noted the duchess dropped another reference during the show, declaring broken things can be “fixed … sealed and healed.”

Meghan’s new show isn’t the first time she has been vocal about her royal life. In 2021, she sat down for a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey about her alleged difficulties. According to the Duchess of Sussex, she wanted to end her life following the severe criticism she received. On that note, the former Suits star seemed to have no regrets about leaving the royal life. She doubled down on her return to California, which was the best decision for her new show.
She claimed her final dish tasted “like home,” adding, “I’ve missed California.” However, it remains to be seen if her Netflix project will be a hit or a miss with fans. Meghan and Harry reportedly need the show to be a hit to renew their working relationship with Netflix. Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Have a Chance at Renewing Their Netflix Deal
According to sources, Harry and Meghan could renew their working relationship with Netflix at a cost. The streaming platform has reportedly learned a lesson with the couple and won’t spend as much on a new contract. Royal expert Richard Eden shared his two cents, saying:
“All the indications are that a deal of some sort will be renewed when the contract expires. It almost certainly will not be on the terms that were originally agreed.”
Besides her cooking show’s success, Meghan needed to resolve the controversy surrounding her rebranded lifestyle business. She changed her business name from American Riviera Orchard to As Ever. However, a small business owner raised issues with the name on social media, as it coincided with his brand’s name.
The owner lamented the possible impacts of Meghan’s identical brand name on his own, stressing his brand had existed since 2015. He implored the duchess to change her brand’s name to avoid running him out of business. Additionally, the mayor of Porreres in Majorca slammed Meghan for allegedly copying the town’s coat of arms in her brand’s logo.
