As Ever founder, Meghan Markle reveals the fate of her Lemonda Media podcast during a candid conversation about business and entrepreneurship. The past few months have been a remarkable one for Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, who has kept busy growing her business empire. She ushered in the year 2025 with her grand Instagram return, followed by the release of her Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan, alongside the launch of her lifestyle brand, As Ever. The star also launched her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, as part of her deal with Lemonda Media. The podcast featured appearances from trailblazing female entrepreneurs, who shared their entrepreneurial struggles in the hopes of inspiring others in their respective journeys.
With the first season wrapping up successfully last month, fans are left wondering if Meghan will return for Season 2, with more success stories. The star hinted at that possibility during her latest sit-down with Skims founding partner Emma Grede. Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of Aspire with Emma Grede, Meghan Markle shared insights into her entrepreneurial journey, goals, and the fate of her recently concluded Lemonada Media podcast.
Meghan Markle Drops Bombshell Decision to Quit Podcast

The mom of two explained how it felt to build her business from scratch while managing other projects, such as her cooking show and her podcast. Meghan acknowledged that the podcast presented her with an opportunity to “pull back the curtain,” and let people see her startup struggles, while also getting the chance to learn firsthand from other founders early on in her journey. However, she found herself at a point where focusing solely on her business had become paramount for further growth. As a result, Meghan Markle decided to take a step back from her podcast and focus on business despite the buzzing anticipation for a second season.
Following this major revelation about her Lemonada future, Grede probed the duchess further, asking if the decision to stop the podcast despite its huge success was hers. The 43-year-old responded “yes,” also adding “I have to,” when Grede hammered on about the podcast’s popularity.
Despite zeroing her mind on taking a step back from the Lmonada podcast, the duchess remained hopeful it could make a comeback someday. However, this return may rely heavily on the outcome of Meghan Markle’s business empire in the foreseeable future. She teased,
“I realized, ‘Wow, ‘I’m using this opportunity to share, and I love that, but I also need to use this opportunity to listen. I have very valuable insight coming from women who have been through this before, and if I’m not gonna take the cue that we are teaching people, what’s the point? So does it mean it won’t come back? No.”
Meghan’s Podcast Could Return For Another Season On This Condition
Meghan Markle reiterated her desire to “bring the show back,” but under completely different conditions. According to her, she would love the return to happen when she attains “a different end of my founder journey,” with enough success to create a contrast to her startup days. She explained,
“I think a different time will be so exciting just to be able to compare and contrast… But yeah, I know people, I know people want another one. I just made a choice to say it’s a really good time to make, to put all of my energy into the thing that I’m building.”
Meghan Markle kicked off her entrepreneurial journey years back with the first unveiling of the lifestyle brand, America Riviera Orchard. However, aside from product samples distributed to her celebrity friends, the project remained on hold for a while until the eventual announcement of a rebrand, dropping the initial brand name in favor of As Ever.
Following ensuing trademark disputes and criticisms of her alleged lack of originality, the brand gained momentum in April 2025, with the first set of products selling out within hours. Should Meghan Markle’s Netflix-backed As Ever brand continue on this trajectory, the actress-turned-royal-turned-entrepreneur is well on her way to achieving the business growth she anticipates, and hopefully, sharing her success story on Confessions of a Female Founder season 2.
