Meghan Trainor has welcomed her second child with her husband, Daryl Sabara. The couple joyfully celebrated the birth of another baby boy in their family. The couple’s second son arrived over the weekend, and Trainor shared the exciting news via an Instagram post on Tuesday. She also took the moment to share some adorable photos of the newborn.
Meghan Trainor Gives Birth to Her Second Child
Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara’s new baby was born on Saturday, July 1st. The 29-year-old confirmed the happy news via Instagram on Tuesday. “On July 1st (the 7-year anniversary of our first date), we welcomed Barry Bruce Trainor into the world 🐻💙,” she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of her holding the newborn.
Barry, who Trainor described as a “big boy,” weighed 8lbs 7oz at birth and was born via C-section. The Made You Look vocalist expressed gratitude towards the nurses and doctors who ensured a successful delivery process. She also included another snap of Sabara holding the newborn in the delivery room and other beautiful photos of the baby.
Friends and fans of the couple took to the comments section to share their elation at the news, with actress Chrissy Metz sharing a congratulatory message. Mandy Moore also joined in, praising Trainor and welcoming the newborn.
When Did Trainor Reveal That She Was Pregnant?
Trainor officially shared news of her pregnancy on the Today Show in January after teasing on social media that she has been keeping a secret for months. “I’m pregnant! We did it!” she gushed on the NBC show. “It finally happened, and we’re so excited.”
Meghan Trainor and Daryl Sabara are also parents to two-year-old son Riley. The Mother singer celebrated her son Riley’s second birthday in January. She took to Instagram to share a heartfelt birthday message alongside sweet snaps of the toddler. Riley was born in February 2021.
In a November 2022 interview, the Dear Future Husband singer enthused that motherhood made her feel like she could achieve all her goals. Trainor and the Spy Kids star, 31, got married in December 2021, and the couple wants more children. In February, the then-pregnant Grammy winner told People that her ideal number of children is four. Apparently, she is halfway there.
