The few times I’ve been in a Dollar Store or Dollar General, I don’t think it’s ever been longer than a few minutes. At least, it’s never been long enough to see someone at the front of the line just lay into the cashier. A Memphis, Tennessee woman was filmed doing just that while several other customers just stood by and watched. Fortunately, a brave soul recorded the entire interaction and posted it online for us to check out.
The video is taken from the point of view of someone standing in line, just behind the screaming Karen. The woman appears upset because her card keeps declining when she swipes it in the card reader. Instead of allowing the cashier to assist her in any way, the woman decides to be belligerent and ask for the supervisor. Unfortunately, the cashier is also the store’s manager, but the Karen wants to go above her, refusing her help altogether.
After a brief exchange, you can see a man try to intervene. This was quickly shot down by the woman, who, instead of asking for a supervisor, demanded the phone number to the corporate offices. Things finally started to simmer down when the woman finally decided to walk away, bumping into another customer who tried to talk sense into her. The comments on the video are completely stacked against the Karen, and they all criticize her behavior.
“Tell her to leave. Call the cops and trespass her. Laugh your ass off.”
The video ends before we find out whether any action was taken against the woman. However, the store has likely banned her, which she’ll find out about the next time she walks in. Hopefully, she doesn’t go to other establishments and rip their cashiers a new one like in this video. Nearby customers or management might not be so kind to her the next time.
