This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Although there are differences between Persona games and Metaphor: Refantazio, developing several social skills is not one of them. Although you are only an Elda, you must join the succession ceremony. That is why you will need to develop your Royal Virtues. You need to develop five aspects in Metaphor: Refantazio, and if you want to know which Royal Virtues is the priority, you need to look at your follower bonds.

Royal Virtues are your secondary stats. While your main stats are connected to battles, these secondary stats will affect the progression of your follower bond. Here are the five Royal Virtues that you need to develop in Metaphor: Refantazio:

  • Courage
  • Wisdom
  • Tolerance
  • Eloquence
  • Imagination

As long as you don’t take too long or spend too much time on dungeons, you should have enough time to develop all five. However, if you want to know which Royal Virtues is the priority the answer is that it depends.

At the start of the game, I suggest developing Eloquence first since you need to reach Level 2 to start Brigitta’s bond. She is one of the first followers you can obtain besides the party members. Afterward, you will want to look at which follower bond requires what level of Royal Virtues to progress.

Catherina – Rank 6 – Tolerance Level 5
EloquenceHeismay – Rank 2 – Eloquence Level 2
Bardon – Rank 5 – Eloquence Level 3
Eupha – Rank 6 – Eloquence Level 4
Basilio – Rank 8 – Eloquence Level 5
ImaginationAlonzo – Rank 2 – Imagination Level 2
Strohl – Rank 6 – Imagination Level 3
Junah – Rank 5 – Imagination Level 4
Heismay – Rank 7 – Imagination Level 4
Basilio – Rank 6 – Imagination Level 5

Personally, I suggest putting Courage as your last priority since you can get a lot from completing Bounty missions. The Royal Virtue connected to the most follower bonds is Imagination, so you may want to level up that one first. However, I find that prioritizing party members is also important since you want to upgrade their bond rank so they can get EXP while off-field. In that case, Wisdom and Eloquence should be your secondary priority.
