This article is over 6 years old and may contain outdated information.

If a now-removed listing of Metro Redux can be believed, it appears the popular remasters are coming to the Nintendo Switch in the not too distant future. The released package containing remastered versions of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light was first released on the Xbox One and PS4 back in 2014

Those titles were followed up last year with the release of Metro Exodus.  If it’s true, the first two games are coming to Nintendo’s platform, and it will be interesting to see if the third game in the trilogy might be tagging along.

Gematsu was among the first to notice the listing, meaning the Pan European Game Information board has officially rated the titles for the Switch.

Metro Redux

While the Metro Redux listing has since been removed, that’s doesn’t mean it’s not real. Generally, these kinds of things are usually accidentally made public and pulled back when they get some notice.

Landing this kind of game on the Nintendo Switch would be a bit of a coup for the console. It has earned a reputation for hoovering up older PC titles, but its backlog doesn’t contain that many older AAA-type titles.

When an AAA game does land on the PS4, Xbox One, and Switch, it tends to do so closer to launch. Such was the case with a couple of the more recent Wolfenstein games.

On the other hand, a later arrival isn’t out of the question. The Witcher 3 arrived on the PS4 and Xbox One in May of 2015. It was finally ported to the Switch in October of 2019.

Alongside the appearance of Metro Redux for the Switch was one for Void Bastards on the PS4. That game is currently only available on the Xbox One and PC.

If Metro Redux does eventually coming to the Nintendo Switch, will you buy it, even if it’s for a second time? Let us know in the comments below.
