A few days ago, we revealed that a removed listing had Metro Redux coming to the Nintendo Switch. That news has been officially confirmed today by Deep Silver and 4A Games. Metro Redux is coming to the Nintendo Switch and will release on February 28th. This is big news for any Metro fan and is a bundle you’ll want to get your hands on. The news was revealed through an official video on Metro‘s Youtube channel.
Metro Redux contains both Metro 2033 and its sequel Metro: Last Light. Both games were improved visually for the Redux bundle, bringing them up to 2014 standards. Despite that, the games still look great in 2020 and are definitely worth picking up. They give many hours of interesting content with two singleplayer campaigns. Play as Artyom, a soldier of the Russian metro following a nuclear holocaust. You must survive with the other people of the metro along with develop as a person to become the hero the metro needs. The campaigns aren’t all though, as the bundle offers all DLC from both games, offering 10 more hours of content. They offer new difficulties, entirely new stories, and more!
The games will be available in either a physical cartridge or a digital purchase. The physical version will offer a Ranger Cache pre-order bundle at selected retailers. This bundle gives Metro pin badges, a game case sleeve, a double-sided artwork inlay, and more! Make sure to check your selected retailer to see if the bundle is available. Otherwise, you can find the digital version on the Nintendo Switch e-shop at launch.
There’s a lot to look forward to if you’re a Nintendo Switch owner. There’s currently no news regarding Metro Exodus (which has a sequel in development) coming to the Switch, but we’ll keep you posted if that changes.
