Michigan Baby Has ‘Adventure’ When Stroller Rolls Away From Frantic Mother: ‘How Quickly Things Can Change’

Just a little joy ride

On a hot Michigan summer day, this mom got the scare of her life while running inside to grab some water. Megan Kendrick had left her baby in her stroller. The Michigan baby, whose name has been confirmed as Rory, then went on a little “adventure,” as the stroller’s parking brakes were not pushed down completely. Funny enough, the family’s security camera caught it all on video. Megan has since posted it to TikTok, where it has gotten some attention from social media users.

Megan Kendrick had been out walking on what she explained to be a very hot day, according to Newsweek. As her infant daughter was asking for water, the mother had noticed her child’s cup was completely empty. She would then run back in to fill it up, and that’s when Rory would make her move. Just a few seconds after Megan had gone into her home, the stroller with Rory in it would begin to roll down the property’s driveway.

Glad we caught this on camera. Silly mama didn’t click the break hard enough… It’s funny now… 🤣 #doorbellcameravideos #ringvideos @WonderFold @Ring

Michigan Baby Stopped From Rolling Into the Street by Her Mother

Megan claims that she did, in fact, click the brake, but it just wasn’t pushed down hard enough. As a result, the stroller would begin slowly rolling towards the street. However, before the Michigan baby could go too far. Megan can be seen sprinting out of the house to stop the stroller. After slamming the door open to get outside, the stroller was stopped, and no harm had come to Rory. Megan tells the source she happened to see movement out of the corner of her eye and just sprang into action. Kendrick then realized just “How quickly things can change.”

While some may see this as bad parenting, many first-time parents experience something at least similar to Megan’s situation. The source states that, according to a test from 2019, first-time parents can face up to six years of sleep deprivation. Raising a child can be an extremely challenging thing to do. With that being said, accidents are bound to happen, and luckily, this time, nobody was hurt. As for the Michigan baby, she was allegedly unfazed by the entire situation.

However, Megan Kendrick, since seeing the security footage, has stated she is able to “Laugh at it.” She even said that she showed some of her friends, and they all laughed together. This is seemingly what gave Megan the courage to post the video on TikTok. With the Michigan baby safe and her mother able to laugh it off, this appears to be a happy ending. However, despite how happy it ended, parents everywhere should always double-check when it comes to their child’s safety.
