Public freakout videos are arguably some of the most popular forms of content on the internet and social media. Apps like TikTok and many others also make seeing videos like this extremely easy. Well, this Michigan man was forced to live on one of those videos as a wild “Karen” would harass him and his friend. The clip was posted to the account @sethrips42 and is currently trending towards viral status. With 800 likes, over 7K views, and counting, social media is eating this one up.
The TikTok starts off with the action already underway, unfortunately. As soon as the camera turns on, an elderly woman can be seen waiting outside a car with two younger people inside. It’s made clear right away that this Michigan woman is very unhappy as she slams against the car’s window and door. The people in the car also seem to be kind of worried, as the one in the driver’s seat is frantically telling the other to “Record.” The video’s caption also reads, “I was attacked by an old lady.”
After a few moments of attacking the car door, the woman would seemingly give up. Although while that could have been the end of things, it wasn’t. The man driving then slams his vehicle into reverse and then drives to catch up to the now-fleeing elderly woman. He then rolls his window down as they pass the woman, and it all goes downhill from there. The woman seems to believe they were attempting to run her over with their vehicle. However, the woman in the passenger’s seat is trying to explain that they were getting her license plate number.
TikTok Reacts To Michigan Parking Lot Karen
The way this older woman acts has seemingly angered many TikTok users. The video’s comment section was full of individuals roasting the Karen. “My anger issues could never,” wrote one. “I hate people,” said another. “I’m opening the door fast, think again, grandma,” joked one more. Finally, one other comment read, “Boomer fatigue.” It would appear safe to say that social media is not rocking with this elderly woman.
The altercation then escalates into a little bit of a shoving match between the driver and the elderly woman. The man in the video is clearly trying to stop the woman from opening his car door, as he uses his arm to push her away slightly. The parking lot, Karen then tells the two in the car to “Not call people names.” While it is unknown what started the issue between the two parties, this could have been it.
The Michigan woman inside the vehicle then states, “You almost hit us,” while speaking to the elderly woman. However, she seems to brush this off so she can argue with them some more. Finally, she tells them to “Speak like an adult,” as the TikTok shuts off. While the ending is a little less than satisfactory, so was this older woman’s behavior. The holiday season is a time to be nice to one another. Hopefully, this Michigan Karen learned a valuable lesson from this run-in and will work on her behavior for next time.
