It doesn’t matter if you’ve never wanted to pursue a career in aviation. It doesn’t matter if you don’t care about what it’s like to travel the world via plane. The fact of the matter is that there’s no way that you can see a Microsoft Flight Simulator video and not want to immediately learn how to fly a plane. During Xbox‘s Showcase as part of Summer Game Fest, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 was shown off and there’s absolutely no doubt of how stunning it looks.

Offering a much deeper look at the concept of aviation and flight, this new installment gives players all new ways to get off the ground. You can be a pilot as part of a commercial flight, flying passengers from place to place, or even become part of an air ambulance. If that sounds too exciting, how does aerial advertising sound? You can utilize flight to do all these services in the new game.

The different services you’ll be able to be a part of include:

  • Commercial Flights.
  • Air Ambulance.
  • Aerial Advertising.
  • VIP Charter Services.
  • Agricultural Aviation
  • Search and Rescue
  • Helicopter Cargo Transport.
  • Remote Cargo Ops.
  • Aerial Firefighting.

The above trailer shows off what looks like even more ways to fly with blimps and hot air balloons. Much of the trailer also focuses on the graphics, allowing you not only to pursue a career in aviation, but enjoy all there is around you while you’re at it. The landscapes look much more gorgeous than they ever have before, which is a must considering everywhere that you’re able to go and do. What hasn’t been revealed is how much player characters play into the gameplay.

After you’ve dropped off your passengers from a commercial flight, is there any conversational aspect or friendships you can build with Stewards? What sort of missions will we be enjoying and how will they be executed across all the different types of aviation we see in the trailer? There are still many questions to be answered, but still so much time between now and its release on November 19. One thing for sure is that we can expect an incredibly gorgeous and well-handled environment and gameplay.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be available on November 19 for PC via Steam and GamePass as well as Xbox.
