The social game/app is currently only available in Japan. Nintendo has said that it will extend to other territories by the end of March or early April. Essentially, it’s an app that allows Nintendo and Mii users to chat using their Mii characters.
Users of the app will be issued a series of questions when they first boot it up: What’s your favorite music? What are you up to right now? And so on. From there you will be able to customize your Miitomo Mii character and chat with friends. The answers you give are matched up with your friends’ and you’re all pooled together in a room or area where the chatting can continue.
With other features available, it’s essentially a social app, but it’s been a huge success for Nintendo already. When the app comes West, will you be downloading it? So far it looks like it’ll be priced at $0.99 cents, with in-app purchases.
