Legendary boxer Mike Tyson suffered a medical emergency during a Miami-bound flight. The former heavyweight boxing champion was all good before the flight but started feeling uneasy midair. The flight attendants asked passengers onboard with any medical knowledge or experience if they could assist the ailing sportsman. Eventually, the plane stopped at LAX, where Mike Tyson‘s health was restored after help from paramedics.
According to reports, Tyson boarded an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles. The flight experienced a two-hour delay before takeoff, but the boxer had no complaints. However, after takeoff, he started feeling sick. He felt so much pain that flight attendants sought help from passengers. However, the flight passengers reportedly didn’t know Mike Tyson was the one having a medical emergency. The request for a passenger with medical experience first showed on the in-seat screens before being announced over the public address system.
The flight stopped at LAX, after which paramedics boarded the plane to treat Tyson. After treatment, the paramedics checked Tyson out while passengers waited about 25 minutes to get off.
Speaking to TMZ, Tyson’s representative shared, “He [Tyson] became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.” Mike Tyson’s rep also revealed that he is “doing great” now after his medical emergency.
