Miley Cyrus sparked controversy back in 2019, posting Instagram photos that her fans likely haven’t forgotten. Posting as she ramped up promotion for her SHE IS COMING album, the 31-year-old singer updated her account to support abortion and abortion rights, even showing off a sprinkle-covered cake to deliver her message.
Smiling in one snap and licking the cake in another, Miley reminded fans that she’s left-wing, although not all of her followers were on board with her.

Rocking a white tank top and plenty of chunky ring, necklace, and bracelet jewelry, Miley posed with a big grin as she showcased a large, circular cake with white frosting on the top, plus a pink icing trim. Placing her hands below her chin and above the sweet treat, the “Flowers” singer grinned at the camera as she sent her female followers support, with another photo going more provocative as Miley was photographed while just about to lick the cake.
Mentioning her Happy Hippie non-profit foundation, plus designer Marc Jacobs, the pop star dropped an excited-sounding caption as she wrote: “Very special collab with @plannedparenthood @happyhippiefdn @marcjacobs TO BE ANNOUNCED veryyyyyy soon! #WomensRightsAreHumanRights.”

“Preach!” one fan replied, agreeing with Miley’s views. Another user, however, wasn’t so keen. “No, your mother went through the same process with you. Logically, to abort is to kill, to stop the life process. To abort is to interfere with Mother Nature, therefore one must pay the consequences of that act. There is no need to misinform. Greetings,” they replied.
The cake photos wound up causing more drama, though, as Cyrus was accused of ripping off a baker’s design with the cake. Miley did not ignore the baker’s outrage, though, swiftly apologizing as she stated: “We saw the image online and didn’t realize it was yours.”
