Miley Cyrus has delighted her Instagram fans with both a minidress look and a very high-profile companion as she belted out a number in a photo promoting new beats with Dolly Parton. In October 2023, the 31-year-old singer shared a snap of herself performing with godmother and country legend Dolly, with the whole thing announcing the duo collaborating for a new version of Miley’s 2013-released “Wrecking Ball” single.
Gushing over Dolly and even getting a heartfelt response from the “9 to 5” hitmaker, Miley showed off her figure in a little black dress, and fans left her over 1.2 million likes. Cyrus has since gone on to make major collab headlines — in April, she featured on singer Beyoncé‘s new country album, joining forces with her for her “II MOST WANTED” track.

Going leggy in a cut-out minidress with a sleeveless finish, Miley flaunted her gym-honed arms and toned legs as she rocked a skintight black number with waist cut-outs showing her string briefs.
Adding in leopard-print elbow gloves, the Grammy winner smiled as she placed one hand to a mic, with Dolly seen smiling in a slit dress in black with the same animal prints.
“I’ve grown up covering my Aunt Dolly’s music & it’s an honor to hear her singing one of my songs,” Miley wrote, adding: “I love you Aunt Dolly!” Here, she expressed joy over the two collaborating, calling herself and Dolly “rockstars” as she promised fans the “sweetness and love” that’s audible on the record. In a sweet signature, the former Disney star said: “Forever your Doll Baby, Miley.”
Dolly Parton Responds
While the post brought in endless fan love, comments are now topped by a reply from Parton herself. Gushing over her goddaughter, Dolly said that Cyrus is “especially good” to her, adding that she’s aware that it can sound “gushy” or even “false,” but that her sentiments and words were “real.”
“I always feel so honored to be able to sing with you and get to be around you. You are the most gifted person I know, truly. I want to say again how proud I am of the record but more than anything how proud I am of you and our relationship,” she continued.
Dolly has revealed that she became Miley’s godmother during a 1992 tour that saw her form a close bond with Miley’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus. Billy Ray had come up with the idea, telling Dolly: “We’re having a girl, and you’ve got to be her godmother!”
Miley is followed by 216 million on Instagram. Meanwhile, Dolly’s fanbase sits at 6.9 million.
