Miley Cyrus appeared at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night, and she dropped jaws in a stunning ensemble. The former Hannah Montana star walked the red carpet for the event in an elegant black dress that showed off her toned physique. The singer was nominated along with Andrew Wyatt and Lykke Li for Best Original Song for her work on The Last Showgirl. While she didn’t take home the prize, she raised many eyebrows with her look.
According to The Daily Mail, Miley Cyrus attended the Golden Globes wearing a revealing black dress with a plunging neckline. The floor-length gown also included an open back and cutout around the midsection, which only accentuated Cyrus’ muscular arms, flat tummy, and tiny waist.
Miley opted for a simple updo for the occasion. She had her honey-brown hair pulled back behind her head while leaving her bangs and face-framing pieces loose to complete the style. Of course, she sported a glam makeup look, which included dark, smoky eyes and pink lips.
Miley Cyrus Shows Off Tattoos in Revealing Black Dress
Many fans gushed over Miley’s refined and grown-up look. However, others couldn’t help but share their opinions about her many tattoos. Some even stated that her mess of ink ruined her glam look, criticizing her for her body art.
“The tats drag the whole look down,” one person wrote.
“Those are some really bad tattoos,” stated another.
“Would’ve been a stunner without those scribbles,” a third comment read.
“She has a lot of bad tattoos that do her no favors at all,” a fourth person criticized.
Pop Sugar reports that Miley Cyrus has several tattoos, and many of them hold a special meaning for the singer. Some of her ink includes the word freedom across her knuckles, her birth year 1992, and a rose that she got shortly after her divorce from Liam Hemsworth.
Miley also has portraits of her beloved dogs, Mary Jane and Emu. She sports a Teddy Roosevelt quote on one of her arms and a dreamcatcher on her ribs. In the past, she’s revealed that the dreamcatcher represents her bond with her siblings, Noah, Braison, Trace, and Brandi.
One of her most meaningful pieces of ink is the words “just breathe” on her chest. That tattoo was said to be inspired by a friend who died of cystic fibrosis, as well as her two grandfathers who passed away from lung cancer.
Miley Cyrus seems to have no qualms about showing off all of her tattoos. She appears to be proud of the ink of her body, and it hasn’t stopped her from wearing revealing clothing in the past. Despite what some fans may believe, it looks like the singer will continue to express herself through her body art.
