Mojang has consistently been adamant about maintaining its core titles. While two of them are just the different versions of Minecraft, last year saw the release of another title. Minecraft Dungeons was Mojang’s take on the highly popular dungeon crawler looting genre like Diablo. After the successful launch of the title on Steam last month, Mojang is ramping up with a new event set to debut at the beginning of December. As the first season in a long line of more to come, Minecraft Dungeons is starting its first seasonal adventure. As the title crosses almost two years since release, the time seems right for a more direct form of cosmetics. Announced today on their blog, Minecraft Dungeons is receiving a brand new event with more maps and enemies titled Cloudy Climb.

Heroes! The clouds are gathering, the tower is looming, the seasons are changing!

What Content is Being Added to Minecraft Dungeons Season One ‘Cloudy Climb’?

Set to launch on December 14, the event will take players through plenty of new content. Showcased in a quick sneak peek at Minecraft Live just a few weeks ago, this new update brings together plenty of amazing Minecraft content to fight through. Yet, the pandemic had affected all parts of development which certainly hindered their ability to create original Minecraft Dungeons content. Despite this, Mojang was still able to release the title with plenty of updates and DLC. Now it seems that they are trying to pull in more users they’re attempting to include more freemium methods of play. While all of the content will be free for all users to play, they are including a paid adventure pass. While none of the items earned will be gear, the pass is purely for cosmetic purposes. The event starts on December 14 for all users on all platforms.
