However, for this Minnesota man, the political differences he and his mother face may have been too much to look beyond. Thanks to a now-viral TikTok, posted by Minnesota native Nick Ruyter, social media viewers got to see how he plotted his revenge against his Trump-voting mom.
In the TikTok, Nick explains that he “just knows” that his mom voted for Donald Trump in the most recent election. The words “resistance takes many forms” can also be seen typed out by Nick on the screen. However, the Minnesota man would then finally reveal his master plan. In retaliation for his mother voting for Trump, Nick posted her family’s secret cookie recipe online for all to see.

TikTok users would flood the comment section with jokes regarding the matter.
“Bro just made the sacrifice,” wrote one.
“Let’s fund a billboard,” brainstormed another.
Finally, one other told Nick to “Let your mom know I renamed them woke sugar cookies.”

The Minnesota native would then go on to explain that his mom has only ever let a few women outside the family know her secret cookie recipe. However, now hundreds of thousands of people have the recipe at the tips of their fingers. Although Nick Ruyter would not show any remorse regarding his actions. He would actually double down on them instead, by leaking the recipe for the cookies’ frosting as well.
Nick has even updated the caption since originally posting the TikTok. The video’s caption now states that he has posted a video regarding the frosting. However, he warns those who are attempting to make it that they will need a double batch. Nick has gone all in with no signs of remorse or turning back.
While this Minnesota man continues to rebel against his MAGA mom, it may be the perfect example of how the country’s political divide could even ruin the relationship between a mother and son. It is unclear at this time if Nick’s mom knows that her recipe has been leaked online. Although she most likely won’t be too happy if she ever finds out.
For Nick himself, the Minnesota native chose a pretty peaceful way of combating his conservative mom. However, after leaking not only the cookie recipe, but the frosting too, that may not be a very peaceful conversation whenever it gets brought up.
